The highlight of DMA’s weekly meetings is the speaker program. Topics include history, health, politics, the arts, media and world affairs. The quality and variety of the presentations are something we all look forward to. In turn, speakers tell us that the audience, usually over 100, is quite informed and engaged.

Speakers’ presentations are usually delivered in-person in the Garden Wing of the Darien Community Association, at 274 Middlesex Road, in Darien, though, occasionally, speakers may join the group on a remote basis via Zoom. The DMA’s weekly meetings are typically conducted on a hybrid basis with many DMA members attending in-person while others participate online via Zoom.  Our meetings start promptly at 10:00 a.m., with the speaker program commencing at about 10:45 a.m., followed by a lively Q&A session.  Our meetings end at 12:00 noon. Importantly, spouses and significant others are cordially invited to attend the speaker part of our weekly meetings.

Under the leadership of our Speaker Chairman Ric Grefé and his committee, we expect to have another outstanding program for the 2024 – 2025 year.  For details about each upcoming speaker, click on the appropriate link for each of the speakers under this heading.
