Bowen, Peter

After graduate school, I was commissioned in the army. Two years later, I started work at one of the big 8 accounting firms as a CPA. After 8 yrs, I went on to be the CFO of several small companies.  I then went off on my own as a financial consultant which I did for the rest of my career.

When my two children moved to Rowayton, we did as well.  When I was younger, I was an avid tennis player and skier.  Now we have the pleasure of spending time with family watching our 6 grand children grow up.

Jackson, Chuck

Chuck Jackson has lived in Darien since 2003. Prior to that, his wife, three children and he had lived in Bronxville Village, N.Y., since 1988. Although Chuck lived in 11 different places growing up, his wife’s and his own family are originally from the Boston area; hence his Red Sox enthusiasm.He retired in August 2024 after 36 years with what originally was R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company.

Currently,  He is mentoring young entrepreneurs through the University of Connecticut Business School’s Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, imparting business and business development skills.

Chuck has been a member of Saint Luke’s Parish since moving to Darien and served as the church’s senior warden from 2017 to 2019. He also was a board member of the Darien Professionals Networking Group.

Beyond community interests, he loves sailing, and he founded a men’s book Club in 2004 in which author participation is the signature feature. During the past 20 years, the club has included multiple winners of the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award. Chuck holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Persico, Frank

Frank Persico was born and raised in New York City. He has been a resident of Darien for almost 35 years. He received a B.A. from Hunter College, an M.S. in chemistry from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from New York University.

He retired after a long executive career at Pfizer Inc., PricewaterhouseCoopers and, most recently, IBM.

He has two adult children, a son and a daughter, both of whom are products of the Darien school system and both are married.

Frank is a lifetime learner with a wide range of interests. For fun, he collects and restores art, and he is an avid book reader and collector.

Wright, Steven

Steven Wright was raised in Darien and has lived here since moving back in 1997. He spends seven months of the year in Palm Coast Fla., and five warm months in Darien.

He graduated from Darien Hight School in 1979 and received a B.S. in economics from Middlebury College in 1984. He retired in July 2025 from a career as a managing director of institutional fixed income sales, most recently at Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc.

Steve and his wife Alison Collins Wright have two adult children and an adult son. Steven’s hobbies are golf, tennis, pickleball, skiing and boating. His interests include travel, reading, financial markets and investing, and volunteering. He is a member of the Country Club of Darien, the Darien Boat Club, and Hammock Dunes Club in Palm Coast, Fla.

Hawes, George

George Hawes was born in 1944 in Sea Girt, N.J., and graduated from The Peddie School in 1962, where he was on the swimming team and played lacrosse and football. He received a B.S. degree in finance in 1966 from Lehigh University, where he was on the lacrosse and rugby teams and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years as a naval aviator and was pilot of a Huey Gunship in Vietnam. George began a career in finance in 1971 with Citibank’s private banking department and then worked in the bank’s bond department. Later he went to work for Eastbridge capital in marketing investment management and later joined Fairview Partners LLC in 1995 in marketing alternative investments, where he continues to this day. George and his wife Liz live in Rowayton. He has four adult children and seven grandchildren. He is a member of the University Club, Wee Burn Country Club and the Leadership Committee of the Hyde Charter School. His interests include paddle ball, pickleball, golf, history, travel and current events.

Holtz, Ron

Ronald (Ron) Holtz is a native of Buffalo, New York    . He attended the State University of New York, where he received a BA in Psychology, and then attended New York University and Whittier College of Law, Los Angeles, CA.
Ron was Senior Vice President of Meyers Parking in New York, responsible for all real estate transactions in 38 US cities and Puerto Rico.    He joined Dean Witter Reynolds in 1995, and later (1997), he joined Morgan Stanley.   He was a Sales Manager and Branch Manager in New York, New Jersey, and Columbus, Ohio.
Ron was recruited to manage the US Office of Citigold, a division of Citibank located in New York City (GM Building and Citigroup Center). After 2010, Ron held senior positions in the Investment business with Oppenheimer and Edward Jones and is currently at Alliance Global Partners (full-time).
Ron is married to Diane Holtz, formerly President of Limited Stores (a national/public company) and Executive Vice President of Ann Taylor Stores. Ron has two children: Melissa, of Maui, Hawaii, and Michael, a current JD/MBA student at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law and The Wharton School.
Ron is involved in many charitable organizations – Alzheimer’s Walk Committee and as a 35-year Rotarian,  he is currently the Assistant District Governor of Rotary District 7980 (CT), overseeing all Clubs from Greenwich to Westport, including the Darien Rotary Club.
Ron has served as Membership Chair and Speaker/ Program Chair of Y’s Men of Westport / Weston.

Flynn, Steve

Stephen (Steve) Flynn

Steve was born in New York City and was raised on City Island in the Bronx. His father, grandfather and great grandfather were all City Island residents. From this small historic shipbuilding community, Steve has enjoyed the opportunity to live and work in Switzerland and Germany as well as work in many other countries including Australia, Brazil, England, India, Japan, Mexico, and Scotland.

Steve received his BA from Binghamton University and his MBA from Cornell University and is a retired financial services executive. Steve spent the first 20 years of his career at Accenture (the former Andersen Consulting) where he was a Partner and leader of the technology practice for global financial markets. He subsequently held senior executive positions at GoldenSource, BearingPoint, TIBCO, Oracle and OpenLink.

Steve and his wife, Ivelisse, married in 1987 and had two children. Before moving to Darien in December 2021, they owned a home in Pleasantville, NY for the previous 25 years. They love being close to their daughter, son-in-law, and their twin three-year-old grandsons who live nearby. Steve and Ivelisse are members of Saint Thomas More Parish and Steve recently became a Board member and Treasurer for the nonprofit Middlesex Genealogical Society.

Klein, Dana

Dana Klein was born at Offut Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Westport, CT.  He received his BS from Boston University School of Management and his MBA from Cornell University.  He and his wife Sonya moved to Darien in 1997 raising two daughters who both now live and work in New York City.  Dana spent his career in the banking industry, working in Nassau, Bahamas and Zurich, Switzerland before settling in New York City focusing on corporate loan financing spending the last 27 years of his career at DLJ/Credit Suisse/UBS in the loan capital markets group and managing a corporate loan original group until retiring mid-2024.  His interests include (but are not limited to) cycling, skiing, boating (including sailing), hiking, music of all genres, reading non-fiction and active travel.

Schnider, Geoff

Geoffrey is an OBGYN, recently retired and relocated from Houston in January. He was a Clinical Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine with a special interest in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gynecological surgery. Geoffrey moved to Darien with his wife Joan, to be close to his son, daughter and 4 grandchildren who live in Weston.

Ritchey, Brooks

Mr. Ritchey is 65 years old and recently retired as Chairman of K2 Advisors (an $11 billion hedge fund division within Franklin Templeton Investments). His 42 year career focused on the following investment areas:

a) Analyzing market and macroeconomic conditions,
b) Determining responsible asset allocation tilts,
c) Managing institutional and high net worth portfolios.

Mr. Ritchey began his investment career in 1982 as a proprietary trader for the NYSE Specialist Firm of Conklin, Cahill & Co. Since 1987, Mr. Ritchey has successfully managed multi-asset institutional and registered mutual fund hedged portfolios while located in New York, Paris, Connecticut, and Fort Lauderdale during his employment with organizations including K2 Advisors (a Franklin Templeton Investments company), Steinhardt Partners, Citibank, Finch Asset Management, Paribas, AIG, and ING/Barings.

He is married to Sarah Griffin Ritchey and has two wonderful daughters; Campbell and Lauren. He enjoys competitive sailing, investments, tennis, and completing/removing items from his ‘Honey-Do” list. His sponsor is Doug Bora.

Hawkins, Peter

Peter went to Andover, then Rutgers.  He started his career in banking: Chase Bank’s Global Credit and was an officer in Midtown. Chase’s largest branch, where he worked,  is now a giant hole in the ground.  Peter then worked  (for the stars) in Beverly Hills as a mortgage banker,  then came back east and started in the Investment Advisory business.  He’s worked with many significant people over the years including Wm. F. Buckley locally.  He would chuckle as Henry Kissinger might have to wait for him to finish with Bill.   One time, after a meeting, Secret Service people started arriving as Ronald and Nancy Reagan were coming for dinner…….  He has been married to Phyllis for many years and they have two grown sons. Our first grandchild (daughter) is due in May!

Campbell, Mark

Mark Campbell was born in Holyoke, MA and grew up in Belchertown, MA. He received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He moved to the Stamford, CT area in 1993 to attend Pace University where he received his MBA and JD. Mark moved to Darien with his wife, Vikki, in 2002. They have two sons: Brady, currently a Junior at Sacred Heart University, and Taylor, currently a Senior at DHS, where he is captain of this year’s varsity baseball team. 

Mark owns a business valuation firm, Scout Valuations, in Stamford and has been providing business valuations for 25 years. Mark began his career at Deloitte (where he met his wife) in 1997 and had additional stints at a boutique investment bank in Westport and regional accounting firm in Shelton, prior to starting Scout. 

Mark is active at Saint Luke’s Parish and the YMCA and is currently the treasurer for Darien Babe Ruth. He enjoys golf, skiing and the outdoors.
