
Rick Agresta was born in Jersey City, N.J., and grew up in Union City, N.J. He graduated from St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City) in 1970, where he was active in football, track, and the yearbook. Rick received an A.B. from Columbia University in 1974 and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) in 1980. He started his career in 1974 with JCPenney in New York City. Later, he held marketing and sales management positions at several companies before becoming president at Terraillon, Inc. in 1992. He joined iSi North America, Inc. in 2002, where he was president and CEO until retiring in 2017.
Rick and his wife Joan have lived in Darien since 1987. They have three children and seven grandchildren. He belongs to the Silvermine Golf Club and is a founding Partner at Project Redwood (venture capital fund founded by Stanford GSB alumni to support social entrepreneurs). His leisure activities include golf, theater, travel, philanthropy, reading and all those grandchildren.
