Roger Renz was born in Englewood, N.J, in 1943 and graduated in 1961 from Ramsey, N.J., High School where he was a member of the cross-country team. He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University in 1965 and an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1967. He began two years active duty in the U.S. Army in 1967. In 1969, he joined IBM as a salesman in the Washington, D.C. area and held various jobs in computer sales, product management and pricing. Upon leaving IBM in 2010, he spent five years with Dassault Systemes and retired in 2015. Roger and his wife Shirley live in Rowayton. He has two children and his wife has three children. There are four grand-children. He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stamford and enjoys skiing and sailing.
