If you enjoy spirited, focused conversation about global, national, state, and local issues of importance, then you should join the DMA Current Affairs Discussion Group.
“Our meetings are (usually) on the third Thursday of each month (Sep-Dec and Feb-May) at 2:00PM in the Lillian Gade Room of the DCA and on Zoom.
For each meeting a single topic is chosen in advance and either one of our members or a guest will give an informative presentation for about 20 minutes, followed by a general discussion by the group. The emphasis is on sharing information and perspectives, not debate, and never argument.
The discussion leader will define and articulate the topic and assemble any relevant pre-read materials to have posted on the website. All members are encouraged to share information they find informative and relevant. Topics will be posted on this website and announced at DMA weekly meetings, but please join the group email list for the zoom link. By general agreement, our meetings are available via Zoom but are not recorded for future playback, so plan to attend at our scheduled time.
If you have a topic you might like to present at a future meeting, please get in touch with Barry Silver, Doug Bernacchi, or Charles Salmans.
