Tom and his wife, Pam, moved to Darien in 1987 before relocating to West Norwalk in 2020. A longtime gardener at Cherry Lawn, Tom maintains his Darien connection through a small portion of his property that extends into town. He is also an avid tennis player.

Tom graduated from Boston College in 1973 with an A.B. degree and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1977. He spent nearly 30 years with IBM in sales and marketing before retiring in 2009. He currently serves on the board of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County and provides pro bono consulting services to Connecticut nonprofits through HBS Community Partners.

Tom and Pam look forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2028. They raised their two children in Darien. Their daughter, Kate, lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey, with her husband and three children. Their son lives in Norwalk, where he owns and operates a dog boarding business.
